Who we are
Pingy is a Zent Studio product. This policy covers the Pingy website, account and administration services, support communications, and WhatsApp messaging features when enabled for your account. It also covers authorized testing. A feature described here is not a promise that it is generally available.
Zent Studio is responsible for information used to manage its own accounts, security, support and billing. Where a business uses Pingy to communicate with recipients, that business determines the purpose and content of those messages. Pingy processes recipient information on its instructions to provide the agreed service. Recipients should also read the sending business’s privacy notice.
Information we process
Account and support information: email addresses, business and workspace names, authorized users and roles, account identifiers, sign-in and session records, and information you include when contacting support.
Messaging information: sender and recipient phone numbers, recipient aliases, consent confirmations supplied by administrators, template names, language and content, message variables where supported, WhatsApp business account and phone-number identifiers, and credentials needed for an authorized connection. Message content, including a verification code when applicable, must be processed to submit a message.
Service records: message and provider identifiers, submission and delivery status, timestamps, errors, template-operation history, administrative audit records, and credit adjustments. A submission or provider acceptance is not evidence that the recipient received a message.
Billing information, when purchases are enabled: purchaser and workspace details, billing country, order and payment references, amounts, currency, credit-ledger entries and refund records. Payment providers handle payment credentials under their own notices.
Technical information: IP addresses, browser and device information, request times, session cookies and security logs. We receive information from you, the business using Pingy, authorized administrators, and connected providers such as Meta/WhatsApp when they return service events.
How and why we use information
We use information to operate accounts, verify access, provide the messaging features you are authorized to use, report service outcomes, maintain accurate billing and credit records, answer support requests, investigate failures or misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where a legal basis is required, it depends on the activity: performing an agreement or responding to a requested enquiry, complying with a legal obligation, legitimate interests in secure and reliable service operation where permitted, or consent where required. Businesses using Pingy must establish their own lawful basis and obtain the permissions needed for recipient data and communications.
Meta/WhatsApp data is used only for the disclosed, authorized service purposes and within the applicable platform restrictions. Recipient and message data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. Customer message information must not be disclosed to other customers.
International processing
Zent Studio is based in Egypt. Infrastructure and messaging providers may process data in other countries, where laws may differ from those in your country. This policy does not promise that all processing stays within Egypt or a particular hosting region. Where applicable law requires transfer safeguards, those safeguards must apply to the relevant processing. Contact us for information about the providers and arrangements relevant to your account.
Retention and security
Active account information is needed while the account is in use. Other information is retained according to its purpose, the service relationship, applicable record-keeping requirements, security needs and unresolved legal claims. Closing an account does not necessarily remove accounting or legally required records. Retention must not continue merely because storage is available.
Message bodies, recipient identifiers, delivery history, account records and accounting records have different purposes and must not be treated as having one unlimited retention period. Deletion requests are handled through support; automatic expiry of customer messaging records is not currently offered. Contact us for the retention arrangements applicable to an enabled service.
We use access restrictions and secure connections to protect service information. No system is completely secure. Backup copies may persist beyond removal from an active system and remain subject to controlled retention and restoration handling. Report suspected security vulnerabilities to the contact email below using the subject “Pingy security report”. Do not send passwords, access tokens, verification codes or unnecessary identity documents to support.
Your rights and data deletion
For data obtained through Meta’s platform, we promptly act on correction or deletion requests from you or Meta and delete the data when it is no longer needed for a permitted purpose, when the relevant account closes, or when the service ends, unless retention is required by law or regulation. These platform-specific limits take precedence over any broader retention grounds described in this policy.
You can request access, correction or deletion of personal data held by Pingy. Depending on applicable law, you may also request portability or restriction, object to processing, withdraw consent for future processing, or complain to a competent data-protection authority. Withdrawing consent does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing.
To request deletion, use the contact email below with the subject “Pingy data deletion request”. Identify your account email or the affected WhatsApp number, the sending business, and the records you want deleted. Include a message identifier if you already have one. An active Pingy account is not required to make a request. Do not include a password, verification code or unnecessary message content.
We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your data. For information handled on a business’s instructions, we coordinate with that business. Requests are assessed under applicable law; necessary accounting records, legal obligations or claims may limit deletion. We will process valid requests and explain any applicable limitation and the outcome within the legally required period.
Deleting Pingy-held records does not delete messages already delivered to a recipient’s device, close a WhatsApp account, or automatically erase records independently held by Meta/WhatsApp or another provider. Their privacy controls and request channels apply to those records.
Request data deletionWhatsApp consent and stopping messages
Businesses must obtain the recipient permissions required for WhatsApp communications and honor requests to stop, whether received on WhatsApp or elsewhere. A website visit or general enquiry does not by itself authorize messaging. To stop messages, contact the sending business or use WhatsApp’s block and report controls. You may also contact us to investigate misuse of Pingy.
Children and sensitive information
Pingy is a business service and is not directed at children. Businesses must respect applicable age restrictions and must not submit prohibited or unnecessary sensitive information. Contact us if you believe a child’s information has been supplied improperly so the matter can be reviewed.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when our practices change and revise the date above. Where required, material changes receive additional notice or require consent before a new use of personal information. Contact the operator below for questions about this policy or an existing privacy request.
